IMPORTANT: This article is specifically for the error message “ZenHub cannot be loaded”. If you’re seeing any of the following error messages instead, please refer to the linked articles:

This Workspace cannot be loaded

Board cannot be loaded

Start with these general troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue—these are the most common culprits of this error! If you’re still experiencing issues, there are a few other steps that can be taken below.

In this article

1. Connection disruption

2. Rigid firewall settings

3. Browser history settings (Firefox only)

4. VPN issues

5. ZenHub service is disrupted

While you may be currently connected to the internet (and therefore able to read this article!), a momentary disruption to your connection with ZenHub in the past could have caused this error. Perform a hard refresh on your Workspace:

  • Mac: Hold down both ⌘ Cmd + ⇧ Shift and press R .
  • Windows or Linux: Hold both the Ctrl and ⇧ Shift keys and then press R

If your firewall is too rigid, it may be preventing ZenHub from loading. Check your firewall settings or with your security administrator.

If using Firefox as your web browser, your browser must be set to “Remember history” for ZenHub to work. You can check this by navigating to your Privacy & Security settings (type about:preferences#privacy in your browser search bar), and scrolling to the “History” section.

If using a VPN or ZenHub Enterprise, ensure that you've successfully connected to the right network. Try restarting your VPN connection to ensure that there is no connectivity issues.

If the issue is not resolved by any of the recommendations above, ZenHub could be experiencing a service disruption. Check our designated status Twitter page for the most up-to-date information.
